Establishing scene safety and incident command structure; conducting primary assessments for life-threatening conditions; collecting a comprehensive history; conducting a thorough physical examination; employ modern medical technology for diagnostic purposes; demonstrating a thorough understanding of anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology and the body systems; performing effective therapeutic interventions in life-threatening conditions; performing effectively in a team approach; and being able to lead a collaborative effort toward effective patient care among all team members. Continued formal education toward a bachelor degree expands the scope and depth of paramedical practice.
